I have a dated all-in-one Tascam interface that uses a firewire connection. In my present 'puter, I use a PCI card for the connection. Back when I built it, Texas Instruments was the go-to for a reliable firewire card but now-a-days, they seem to be a little harder to find. Has anyone heard of SIIG brand and would that be an option for a reliable PCI FW card? They also have a USB to FW adaptor. I am building a new 'puter so I need to duplicate everything but I’d like to keep this interface as it is also my sound card, controller and automated mixer.
