First page layout - why looks on the right panel as w pages

Sorry for this stupid question, I swear I really worked hard before I took the courage to ask, but couldn’t figure out. So, why is first page doubled on the right panel? Does it mean actually it has an impact on the first TWO pages?

Also, I watched dozens of tutorials about master page maneuvers in Dorico during the last month, but still can’t decipher the reason/benefit of it. I would really appreciate if someone made a thorough tutorial focused on idiots like me, who are mad about learning it (don’t want to miss anything good in life) but unable to catch by the help of all gorgeous tutorial videos available currently…

Your first page might be a left page or a right page (normally it is a right page), so you need to be able to accommodate either possibility.

In a publication containing more than one flow, you may specify that the beginning of any new flow starts with a new ‘first’ page. In practice, this can be a left or a right page, and often you might want them to look similar. And that’s where you’d probably want to copy L→R or vice versa, after modifying one.
But it’s not forbidden to make your left and right First pages totally different.
(Janus was faster and less verbose).
