First real session with latest cubase was disaster and emberassing

I ran my first session using Cubase for a client last weekend and my god it was such a disaster, random crash after crash, its a clean system, clean install of everything on the latest Monterey Intel… No idea why this version is so buggy, I thought PC was bad but Cubase so far on mac has been a. major disappointment…

Is anyone else having similar issues?

If you are running Cubase Pro 12.0.30, try using one of the earlier versions. I am using 12.0.10 and that seems to be very good on my MacBook Pro. Try turning off the internet.

Mac: macOS Console utility > Crash Reports (or ~user/Library/Logs/Diagnostic Reports).
Win: Documents/Steinberg/Crash Dumps

hmm not seeing anything in there related to Cubase or Steinberg just siriseach something ?

my first question would be, how many 3rd party or legacy plugins or VIs are you using and what are they?

it can happen with none, even one instance of groove agent can do it. The worst issue for me is that audio parts not working after editing them in editor
