FIX for MediaBay not displaying folders and subfolders correctly on Mac

This was so frustrating and Cubase support didn’t even know how to fix it!

Producer trying to have folders of drum samples, one shots, loops etc. from my hard drive saved as Favorites in MediaBay. Don’t want to mess with scrolling through the files. I want them in Favorites.

Some folders were not displaying sub folders at all! E.g. Splice Samples, with sub folders Kick, Snare, Hats, etc. It is totally empty in Media Bay.

Finally Fixed!

Go to you samples folder, or whatever does not load in Media Bay on Finder. Hit get info. Make sure the privileges at the bottom are set to Read & Write for all users, staff, everyone, etc. At the bottom, press the little three dots and click “Apply To Enclosed Items”. Applies privileges to all the nested sub folders so Cubase will finally read them. So dumb!

Not directly Steinbergs fault but it took me WAY too long to figure this out. Are there any producers that use samples using this program lol?
