Fix Loop Recording Behavior When Switching to Musical Mode

Cubase does not calculate tempos correctly when Loop Recording. Fixing this would be huge for people switching over from Ableton or Pro Tools.

Steps to reproduce:
Record audio with no loop engaged. Record another track of audio with at least one take with the Loop engaged. Open the pool window and observe that the regular recording is set to the project tempo. And the loop recording will be at a completely different tempo or set to (???).

With this behaviour, if you have a session that involves any loop recording and you need to enable musical mode to change tempo or key, you will need to Set Definition from Tempo, or manually adjust all the tempos in the pool window on ALL tracks BEFORE enabling musical mode. Otherwise your audio events will move around and mess up your project.

Thanks!

Yes, this has been noted several times before. It really should get fixed.

I am fully backing up this request.

If start to record in cycle range and cycle mode is on…
check tempo at left locator
check for any tempo events between left and right locator
β†’ if so, set bpm value of recording to undefined (???)
else set bpm value of recording to tempo at left locator
