Fix staff attached text below last system of flow not pushing next flow header down

If you have staff-attached text, systems move out of the way for it, but if the text is below the bottom staff of a flow, the following flow header does not move out of the way (though the first system of the next flow does). Surely this is a bug? I can bodge around this by adding empty lines, but could this be fixed?

I realise that Dorico is not a replacement for a generalized layout program, but it feels very common to want to end (or start) a flow with a block of text that has information about the flow… My use case is preparing a book of tunes, I have seen others generating hymnals with extra verses.

Hi @reggthims, for text below the flow title, you can create new Flow heading template/s in Engrave mode (and possibly assign them with Flow Heading overrides).

Flow footer functionality (text at end of flow) is not jet implemented, but was already requested in the Forum.

For this you can use a flow heading override, increasing the top margin of the subsequent flow (which will add some distance to the avoid collision spacing: the red double-arrow indicates the sum of those two “spacings”):

Dorico file example:
flow heading override for flow footer.dorico (1.4 MB)
