Are any plans to add an action /shortcut to engage/disengage the flexloop button?
there is an āexit loopā action ( standard small āLā) already working - do you mean this?
The l function just ends the looping part and moves to the next part. I mean a general on/off flexloop shortcut
Next part button (action)ā¦
yes in the actions also possible with next part. But Iām referring to switching flexloop on and off with an action or shortcut
But why would you need that? You can step forward with one action Currently KEY cmd is āLā (exit loop in transport) or āNext Partā under Project tab (currently button down)
Itās all about flexibility during the gigs. I programm the songs per part in non flexloop mode. If I need quickly to repeat a specific part ( improvisation, etc) I need to switch first to flexloop to activate the loop. If I have to use the mouse to do this it is less flexibel/quick/efficent than using a short cut of a midi controller actionā¦ does it make sense?

My idea:
āimprovisation partā 6bars then 2bars (decision making two bars)
Using current ābutton UPā Previous Part action during the decision making 2 bars, timeline will jump at āimprovisaton part startā
(same not working for selecting same as played part, therefore need to split the impro part)
Yes, it definitely does to me.
An action to set the current Part to infinite loop would be really useful. In addition, this Part should return to its initial state when exiting the loop, just to make sure the project wonāt be accidentally saved with unwanted loop states.
Couldnāt agree more! Such flexibility is a great asset during live performance
Thanks for seeking solutions. Again this is about the flexibility and being able to switch between the linear mode and the looping mode without touching the mouse. It would be a great asset to live perfomers that need to act fast while playing a songā¦ we simply cannot plan everything ahead
You dont need the mouse @Pieffe . One button on your MIDI controller, foot switch to fire āprevious-partā action until some kind of
is avaiable
Once you are in the flexloop mode. But what if you are in linear mode?
Okay! You are going to use your project more in linear mode or in flex mode?
If switching to flex mode it does nothing until you dont set a loop for a part,
While in linear mode you can drop the cycle locators to your impro-part and activate cycle if needed
I start all my project in linear modeā¦ if I need to loop during the performance I engage the flexloop mode where I have the parts already programmed with infinite looping. Like this Iām flexible to react to any situationā¦ the only problem I have now is that I need to touch the mouse when I need to switch modes linear to loop and vice versa
It should not be a big issue to add a shortcut action, I hope
But why to swith inbetween the two modes?
Flexloop doesnāt do anything until you not set it to do something. I still didnāt catch it.
I understand you want to decide to loop while playing your solo. Meanwhile donāt get why to switch between flex/non-flex mode?
well the reason for that is the flexibility of looping any part infinitely, but only if necessary
Hmmm, what if leaving flex-loop active all the time (as I do) but not set loop-repeat where you donāt need?that looks me more flexible the switch flex on/off
And for now you can do my trick and will see if a new action will be implemented later (e.g. temporary loop current part)
Imagine this scenarioā¦ you start a song and the singer misses the startā¦ what to do? You cannot stop the rewireā¦ so engaging the flexloop starts the part from the topā¦ once that problem is solved you engage the linear mode and the song is played until the end
