I think the flex loop always ON and a new action : temp loop current part, as @Jihem wrote would do the business in all such cases

The “Flex Loop” action executes temp loop for current part, “ExtLoop” exits from.

How will it work? Turn on/off the Flexloop engine, or set the current Part to 0/infinite loop?
The second option looks more natural to me, I even suggest that it should respond to a Midi message value this way:
- 0 → loop off
- 1-32 → repeat 1 to 32 times
- 127 → infinite loop

Exactly, it operates the Flex Loop button.
That’s a great suggestion, however only if it is for the actual setting (meaning to say it will then stay that way). A temporary change is much more difficult to implement.
So when you change it via MIDI or keyboard shortcut (0, or 127?), it would be the same as when you set it like so with the menu.
