I can’t figure out how to flip the orange colored notehead.

in your case, I would enter the high-C as a quarter note, lengthen its stem and set its Voice Column index to 1:

Then adjust the Voice Column X offset:

Another thought would be to make a unison chord with the note on both sides of the stem, then select the note on the “wrong” side and change the size scale to zero.

That’s what I did here. A hidden unison with an extra small notehead so that the ledger lines stay short. And the natural position moved.
