Is it possible to have a bar repeat symbol floating above the staff? I’m working on a lead sheet and would use floating bar repeat signs to indicate to repeat chord symbols from previous bar. In Sibelius I could do this with the Z shortcut for symbols.

Definitely. You can create a custom playing technique and position it anywhere you want.
You’ll want to select “Glyph” and find the “Bar repeats” category from the dropdown. And you can use any popover text to trigger the playing technique; I assigned it to “barrepeat.”
