There are a couple of things I don’t understand about Flow Headings and their defaults. I’m working on a solo piano piece that has five flows that should be formatted in the same way as an earlier piece with seven flows. I’m little by little getting the hang of defaults, page formatting, etc.
The earlier work had lots of overrides, but it now looks exactly as I want it, so I’m not going to mess with it. What I did was carefully fine tune the defaults - Default First Score (Default and First) and Flow Headings (default) - and save it all as a Project Template (carefully named for easy recognition later). I created the new piece with New form Project template, and it was all working well after I added all of the data in Project Info.
There are two minor issues, both which seem to be connected to the Flow Headings default: 1) I made a minor alteration to that default, but it doesn’t appear on the first page of the flow, and 2) on the first page of the project - and flow 1 - the flow heading overlaps the beginning of the music. I could create overrides, and that would solve the problems, but don’t want to do that, because I’d really like a comprehensive and workable template going forward.
