Flow title at the end (like Debussy's Préludes autograph)

Hi everybody,

in a series of preludes for piano I’d like to have a sort of footer title for each flow, aligned on the right below the last measures, like in Debussy’s autograph for his Préludes.

Is it possible in a way that the “Flow footer” stays in the right place even if each prelude has a different number of bars? What would you suggest?

Thank you!

Best,
Alessandro

  1. So, this is irrelevant? i.e. you found the solution? (I’m just wondering why you even listed it) (Original Post Edited)
  2. If you want the text to move in relation to where the bar/stave is, you would need staff-attached text. I don’t think it’s possible to use tokens in staff-attached text.

Hi Daniel,

thanks, I listed it to give a context for the question in chronological order but if it’s misleading I’ll edit it and get straight to the question.
Anyway, thanks for the reply, now it’s clearer to me what’s needed, although maybe not available as token.

@dspreadbury: With the Debussy as a quite notable literature example, I wonder if this could be a feature request for an actual “Flow Footer”, as a functionally quite direct counterpart to the currently available Flow Headings. I imagine that it would also be very useful in musical theatre materials, to provide text prompts via tokens.

@lukesneeringer you would love this too!

Indeed. I believe this is exactly what I was hoping for.

it could also be used to indicate Duration of the flow, like in Bartok’s Microkosmos.
Duration, as other tokens, would even be more worthwhile than flow title as a dynamically changing indication.
