Flow Title not using First Page Template

In my project I have two Flows, one titled Piano & Vocal Sketch and the 2nd Flow titled Vocal Score. Everything is correct in Project Info (Flow 1 is Piano & Vocal Sketch and Flow two is Vocal Score. In my First page template I have the token flowtitle selected and have set the size to 24.5 and have adjusted the frames.
Flow 1 looks correct. A large Title at 24.5 and the following pages set to default at size 10. And the Title content (Piano & Vocal Sketch) is correct.
On Flow 2, however, the Title content is correct (Vocal Score) but the size is not 24.5, but rather at the default template of 10.
So it seems that my second Flow is not connecting to my First Page Template.
Thank you

Are they using the same page template set?

Did you change the font size as a local page override or by editing the page template?

Perhaps instead change the size of the corresponding paragraph style, which will update the font size wherever that paragraph style is used, across all page templates?

There’s only one page template in the project, the First Page and Default. I changed the font size by editing the page template. Can you be more specific on the paragraph style solution?

I have noticed that my 2nd Flow does not have “the look” of a First Page template. There is no indent on the first line. This is weird because it’s a duplicate of the first Flow.

I should add that although I duplicated the first Flow, I added two Soprano staves and two Tenor Staves to the Layout. Not sure if that would change the First Page template look. And all the notes from the first measure and after from Flow 1 are present.

Have you set these settings (in Layout Options > Page Setup > Flows)?

It might be easiest for you to share your project, to avoid guesswork.

I have changed the settings in Layout Options but now the Flow Title disappears. Weird. Here’s the file, and the Flow settings in Layout Options are as they were before asherber’s recommendation. Thank you
PIANO & VOCAL SCORE.dorico (2.5 MB)

The issues lies here…

First, remove the page override on the page 14 (has the red triangle in the upper left corner - this is seen in engrave mode - right click, select remove page override).

Go to page layout options, and adjust the flow headings area. (Use first page template ‘Any flow that starts at top of page’)

And then you should see this…

The page override prevented ANY changes from taking place by default. Removing the page override allows Dorico to work behind the scenes and do what you want it to do.

awesome! I didn’t see that page override because it was hidden from view. I’m on it. Thanks

Worked great!
But what why isn’t there an indent on the first stave of the second flow? I have it set in Layout Options to 6 spaces. Can you look at that for me? Much appreciated!

There is an indent – compare p.13 or p.15, where the systemic barline is flush against the edge of the music frame, and p.14, where it’s indented.

The indent is just not as obvious, because there’s only one system on that page.
