I am doing a document with a lot of small flows (50 in 75 pages) and while I am trying to set the master pages to show the title (and show it again when the flow is more than two pages) and the dedication, I cannot seem to 1) get them to align properly (i.e. sometimes the title is on page two or shows it is in the text box but not on the page) and 2) to sometimes be there at all. Any advice?
Upload the file here so we can see what’s it like. If you don’t want to disclose the music, you could just delete it from (a copy of) your project, since your question is on flows, flow titles and page templates and not on that music itself.
Hi @dfelsenfeld, to customise different flow titles behaviours for specific flows (or to have no flow title for specific flows, as it seems that is what you want, but I am not sure…) you would use Flow Heading Overrides (and possibly separate customised Flow Headings template), and not Master Pages (they are now called Page Templates: which suggests that you own an older version of Dorico?..).
But if you upload your Dorico file, as suggested, it will be easier to help you.
Oh damn I thought I had attached!
Apparently it is too big?
Dont know, can’t see it ![]()
Max filesize is 4Mb I think. You could try reducing it by applying the silence template.
You could (on a copy) delete all flows after the first few pages, as long as those pages show the problems you have
@dfelsenfeld
…or upload it to a cloud service (Dropbox, Googledrive, etc..) and post the lin k here.
What if you just downloaded the first five pages (with the Silent Playback Template set)? Would that show us the conditions you face?
