Flute missing in Instrument picker

I have a strange problem on one of my machines:

The Concert Flute is missing from the instrument pickers:

If I open up a file that contains a flute, it is available in the instrument picker but something is off there as well. If I go to the Edit Instruments dialog and reset the flute there it resets it to a Tam-tam.

Consequentially, all Flute parts that I import (e.g. from XML) show up the correct rhythms but all pitches are collapsed to a single pitch on the middle staff line.

On another machine, it all works fine so I presume some configuration file must be corrupt on the problematic machine.

What I tried so far is to transfer

instruments.xml
instrumentFamiliesDefinition.xml
instrumentScoreOrders.xml
(in Program Files/Steinberg/Dorico5/)

from the working machine to the problematic machine

but that didn’t change anything so I presume these might not be the files in question. Could someone point me in the right direction how to fix this?

Thanks,
Robin

Some additional information (this behaviour is also only on the problematic machine, on the other one it works as expected):

If I open up a file with Flute and reset it in the Instruments Editor, I get this:

If I press the reset button again I get this:

with every reset it cycles between these two states.

It won’t be the data inside the Dorico installation itself, but a problem in the userlibrary.xml file in %APPDATA%\Steinberg\Dorico 5.
