Focus Control and external MIDI

Is it possible to create a Focus Control to send MIDI controller data to an external MIDI device? If so, how? If not, I’ll stop trying to do it and request it be added at some point. :grinning_face:

Well, a bit tricky, maybe it’s not impossible:

  1. Basically you can “Focus control” existing Actions&Shortcuts
  2. Actions&Shortcuts can send out MIDI signals differented row by row

Means as soon as a MIDI message is triggering an Action, the Action can be triggered to send out MIDI.

… interesting request. Can you give us some light what you are trying to achive? And then you need to button which throws the MIDI-CC?

I just wanted to remotely control an XR18 mixer. I could do it through a MIDI track of course, but I thought it might be easier if it was possible to do with some sliders and record automation. Not really a big deal for me, though.

I’ll probably just get a cheap external controller with sliders and do it that way.
