Focus control not working

Since v2.2.13 (or maybe earlier) Focus control buttons are not working, nothing happen when buttons are clicked.

edit: I know what might be happening: I change some stacks and layers to globals and it seems those categories dont have actions defined…is this correct? will this be updated in the near future?

Global instances have separated actions, in another tab. Therefore they need to get thoose.

hmmmm @diegoalejo15 … interesting. Seems I can find Focus Ctrl opt for GlobalStack:

But, seems, you’re right. I can’t find opts for GlobalLayer:

I think the global layers and stacks should have all the same actions as the common ones, no?

Hi,

let me try to jump in. That’s what I’ve done

• Start VL
• Create Global Part
• Select LAYER and add a Global Layer
• Select STACKS and add a Global Stack
• Open “Devices / Actions and Shortcuts …”
• Select “Global Layer”
• Add an Action and assign Mute to it
• Select “Global Stacks”
• Add an Action and assign Bypass to it

• Select MODULES
• Add an Module and load “Focus Control”

• Open the Editor of the “Focus Control” and change to EDIT Mode
• Add a Button, Select it, assign Category “Global Layer” and assigned Action to Mute
• Add Text View and rename it to “Global Layer Mute”
• Add a Button, Select it, assign Category “Global Stack” and assign Action to Bypass
• Change Button Colors
• Add Text View and rename it to “Global Stack Bypass”

• Select PERFORM Mode and run it

All is fine and working. As you can see : I’ve pressed the MUTE Button and the Layer turns in Mute-mode. And the other button is pressed and the Stack is bypassed.

What am I missing?

oh sorry I forgot that I have to add the actions in Actions & shotcuts before seeying them in Focus control. I thought they should appear in a drop down menu..
