Focusrite Scarlett 2i4 Won't Recognize MIDI

Hi,

I’ve been using my 1st generation Scarlett 2i4 for quite some time and have never had any issues with MIDI on my Mac (Tahoe 26.2). Recently, I started getting a startup message saying that the audio interface is too old. The message has since stopped appearing, but now my Scarlett no longer recognizes my MicroKorg at all.

I’ve tried switching MIDI cables, unplugging and reconnecting everything, and checking Audio MIDI Setup. The Scarlett shows up correctly in MIDI Studio, and the inputs and outputs appear to be configured properly, but I’m still not getting any MIDI connection with the MicroKorg.

Does anyone have any ideas on what might be causing this or how to fix it?

Thanks in advance!

Hi,

Is the driver compatible with macOS 26?

Does the microKorg have its own USB port, which you could use?

Hi there! Thank you for replying.

Advertisement says the Scarlett 2i4 is compatible and plug and play. No drivers needed and, in fact, there are no drivers available on the web.

The MicroKorg does not have a USB port, only MIDI in, out, and through.

Did you try to connect something else? Do you have another midi device to connect?

Can you describe, or post the error message you are receiving? Are you seeing this in your DAW or from your computer preferences?
