Folder Bug - ATTENTION!

Again, with 15.0.21 this bug that was introduces since 15.0.20 still remains. It’s unbelievable. This was a known issue. I have to revert back to the pre-previous version!

Bug: Tracks that are in the regular(!) folders are not visible in the mix window when the folder is collapsed. What a stupid bug. Is there no quality management?

It is annoying. I’m not sure what is the best fix? Pre-Cubase 15.0.20, I think they were always visible, collapsed or not. I think I like the new behaviour better, but ordinary folders should also show as closed/expanded on the Mix console - that would be my preferred fix.

This link is to a handy function someone else kindly has written that can let you assign open/close to a keystroke, if that helps for now? It could be easily customised (eg for Group begins “DRUM” etc.) Folder Group Channel behaviour in the Mix Console C15.0.20 - #5 by Cubase-Erklaerbaer

Tracks should be visible as long as the √ is set on the left side on the folder. It’s as simple as that.

I agree as well that ordinary folders should be visible in the mixer itself.

They are not with regular Folders since group-Folders were introduced in 15.0.20! Thats exactly the problem.

@AlanP

I’ve since created a better preset. For it to work, the affected folders must be closed and the MixConsole must be off (not just hidden, but completely closed).

The preset opens the MixConsole (just like pressing F3) and simultaneously opens all folders with an asterisk (*) in their name (this can be changed). This makes their contents visible in the MixConsole. The next time the preset is run, the folders with a plus sign (+) in their name are closed, and the MixConsole is shut down. I only know of one workaround, and Steinberg needs to fix this bug as soon as possible!

toggle Folder with xy and open MIxConsole.xml (5.6 KB)
