I agree with the OP. The issue with having both is that you would only be able to have the functionality of one or the other, but not both. I personally think that the best approach would be to have all of the group channel automation parameters nested under the automation track parameter list and…

Did this restore the functionality to move, cut, copy, paste the events on the folder group track again ? What happens if you have both “Show Automation” and “Always Show Data / Show Event Details” selected at the same time ? Does the automation or the events take priority ?

It’s worth mentioning that there’s an available key command to switch between the Group Folder automation/data views. In key commands go to Preferences>Folders>Folders with Group Channel show Automation You can open the automation lanes [image]
