Almost always, the tracks I assign to a Group track or VCA track are all in the same folder, e.g., Drums, Guitars, Keyboards, …
Why not give Folder tracks the option to be a Group track for its children, e.g., with volume, pan, routing, inserts, sends, automation.
This would be especially powerful if MixConsole rolled up Folder tracks, too. How intuitive: all the individual tracks for eg drums can all be visible and editable when the Folder is opened, and when Folder is closed, the “Group Track” is right there.
