Font changes for dynamics cause Dorico to quit

When attempting to change the font styles for a “crescendo poco a poco” indicator, Dorico crashes. It must have happened a dozen times. Might someone have a solution to this problem?

For problems with crashes you should upload your diagnostics (Help>Create Diagnostic Report) and if possible the score causing the problem.

Happens here too.

Might you have had a chance to visit my score to seek a solution to the crashing of Dorico during the font change?

There are some strange things in Library Fonts where Fingering Text Font has Default Text Font as parent, and Default Text Font has Fingering Font as parent, which in turn has Fingering Text Font as parent. So, some circular thing is going on. If that causes the problem, I don’t know. Try setting the Default Text Font parent to None. Or use Library->Library Manager and reset the Fonts.

Jesper

Done that here (Default Text Font parent to none) and seems to work. I changed the Dynamic Text Font to Academico.

Thank you. When I set the dynamic font parent setting to “none,” it messed up all of my other markings.

I know that I am not the only one having this problem, but I haven’t seen a trustworthy fix for it yet.

Not the Dynamic font parent but the Default Text Font parent. Did you try that?

Jesper

Yes, it has been set at “none”.

I can’t see any other changes when I just set the default text font parent to none, and no other changes. But, you know your piece best of course.

Jesper

Is this messing things up?
