Font Recommendation for Publishing

Hello,

I am intending to publish some books with scores.
Are there recommended fonts for

  • music in 15-17th Century
  • music after 18th Century

Would the default fonts in Dorico be used?

I am asking this because I previously saw a German publisher did not use the default Finale fonts 10 years ago.

I assume you’re asking about music fonts. Any music font you could use would have to be SMuFL-compliant.

To be honest, Bravura is pretty nice. November is beautiful but modern. Check out Music Type Foundry as well.
