Fonts for non-tempo playing techniques

After reading many articles in the Forum, I have either missed or not understood how to deal with playback techniques which are not related to tempo. Right now, I want to add pesante above the staff, but Dorico always treats it as an immediate tempo event. I don’t want to modify the way “Allegro” is displayed, font-wise - so how can I display “pesante”, etc., in lower-case italics and leave tempo indications alone?

Don’t enter it as a tempo? Use system text (shift-alt/opt-X) instead.

To expound on @Janus 's reply. If you do a lot of these, it’s good practice to create a custom Paragraph Style for these (Library > Paragraph Styles) which you can assign upon entering the text. This way, if you ever need to adjust the formatting (font size, etc) it’s as simple as modifying the Paragraph Style and all are changed at once.
