Footer at the end of each flow

I started using Dorico last week. So far it has been great. The UI seems very logical.

I’m working on a project with a number of short pieces. Each piece is a flow, and I can customize the flow header with text tokens, which makes things very easy. Now I want to put the composition year at the bottom right of each piece, and other information at the bottom left of each flow. How can I do that?

Thanks,

Tume

If it’s just “September, 1943”, then I’ve used staff-attached text, flipped it below the lowest staff, and positioned if necessary.

If it’s something more substantial, then there’s no additional features out of the box.

You could even create a Page Template for the last page of each Flow, with an additional text frame at the bottom. You could then use the “Other Information” in Project Info, and have the text automatically populate the frame, using the token.

You would have to make a manual template change for those pages; and if the layout changed, they would need moving; but that’s easy enough.

Because these are really short pieces (one or two lines per piece), so one page may have several flows. Would a page template work if I want to use the text tokens from each flow?

In the case of multiple flows per page, you had best add the date as staff attached text, right-aligned and flipped below the bottom staff of each flow.
