I use VSL Synchron player. At the moment I have to chose between velocity or a secondary CC for dynamics. It would be great to use VelXFsus-MOD in the VSL player, which means short notes are velocity,and long are CC. Then I could have CC1 AND CC11 control dynamics along with Velocity for the short notes.
Also in Dorico at the moment controlling the curve of the dynamic is basically global , although it can be tweaked to some degree on each instrument. But allowing another CC to be used when required could be very useful as it would allow a filter or timbre adjust to be included on the dynamics instruction.
A real game changer would be the ability to fine tune each technique in the expression map, and an additional CC here would make a big difference
