For Mac, Cubase 15: where are the virtual instruments located?

I want to create a simlink and move them to an external SSD.

They could be in several different locations. Use the Steinberg Library Manager “move” option to relocate them after setting your new location as the default path. Also, you can see where they are by clicking on Details.

For the plugins that are provided with Cubase 15, these aren’t very big. If you move them to another disk and create a symlink then you aren’t going to save much disk space and you might run into problems when you install Cubase updates. The things that are big are the samples, and these are stored separately to the plugins. Run the Steinberg Library Manager and this will give you the option to move the large libraries safely to another disk
