Hi, is there a way to force Dorico to write ALWAYS (!!!) a stem of a note on a middle line down? I understand: Dorico handles it in a very intelligent (but sometimes strange) way depending on a context, but what, if some users do note like this behaviour? Would be great if I could choose. I would be very happy I could switch this “feature” completely off instead of correcting stems each time down manually. Is there a way to do this?

And…when I update my score forcing stem of notes on a middle line to get down, parts in a print mode will be unfortunately NOT updated. Quite strange…
Have you set Engraving Options/Notes/Stem directions to ‘use default direction’ ?
