Force duration of dotted rhythm over barline?

I am trying to get the very unconventional notation in the below screenshot of the piano part of Brahms Op. 120 No. 1 (I am transposing/transcribing).

The music is in 3/4 so the dotted eighth(s) at the end of the first bar are totally breaking standard notation rules, however I think it is helpful to the performer for clarity’s sake rather than what I currently have notated in Dorico (pictured below).

This is fine but I’d love to stay as close to the OG edition as possible. Is this at all possible to achieve? At first I thought I could fudge it with hidden meter changes but I don’t really want the midi playback to get all messed up and I would love to know a more efficient way to achieve this.
