Resetting appearance (removing forced duration) gives

Why does A, 4th beat RH, getting a (#) now?

What are your settings for Cautionary Accidentals?

Did you use “Reset Appearance”? That may have removed a manual Accidental Hide status.

These are my settings

The only thing I do is select those two forced duration notes and Reset Appearance. Nothing else is selected in the bar to hide/reset anything. The fact that they are changed from forced 2-4 to 2. inserts the (#) accidental which I cannot understand.

Is this a bug?

Attach the project itself (or a small snippet of it sufficient to reproduce the problem) and we might be able to help.

It seems to be the A(=) in 1st voice, LH, that is causing it. Possibly Dorico focus on the tied A on 3rd beat and decides to put an A (#) if there isn’t an A on this particular beat.

“Un-tieing” the A and then deleting it (a rest is placed instead) also gives an A(#) in RH.
