Forced durations overridden by quintuplet

I have a quintuplet divided into 1 and 4 counts with forced durations, and I need it this way because the underlying syllables require it. When I try to tie the notes, however, the quintuplet turns into a 3+2 count, overriding the forced durations. Here are the visuals:

Any way I can prevent that from happening?

With Force Duration on, I can’t reproduce your issue:

the stickiness of forced duration is different when in note input and when not. Make sure you hit ‘o’ and that it’s lit up before you hit ‘t’.

That’s not quite it, though. The basic situation is different: the first six counts, stretching into the second bar, are already tied, then comes the second whole note. And from count six to count seven is what I wasn’t able to tie together without the quintuplet turning into 3+2. Forced duration was on all along for all notes.

On a different note, how did you make that video of yours? I could illustrate my issue more precisely.

I can’t reproduce it either, it works here with this configuation

Maybe try to untie everything (U), then select the first note, check that Force Duration is enabled[1] and press “T” 4 times?

I’m using Bandicam, but there are probably many apps providing these kind of screen videos.

That was it. Apparently I didn’t force the duration on the two crotchets as such, only as a grouped half note. Anyway, untie and tie again did the trick. Thanks!
