I’m trying to force an eighth rest and a quarter rest together into a dotted quarter rest, but I can’t figure out how. I tried removing the existing rests and entering a dotted quarter rest use the note input tool, but it just gave me two rests. This is actually doing what I normally want it to as defined in the setup, but in this one case, I need a different look. There is a dotted quarter note with a fermata over it in the voice above , and it looks wrong to have a fermata over an eighth rest and then nothing over the quarter rest. I’ve attached a picture so you can see what I mean.
