FR: Activating Manual Staff Visibility (and other dialog) options

Hi everyone,

It would be great if I could select an option without first having to activate the row.

In fact, is there a particular reason why the activation switch is even required rather than a toggle for each option (with options overriding each other)?

I suspect this structure is similar to that used in Properties. The activate switch tells Dorico to override the default setting and then the list tells Dorico how.

Just a guess, but it would seem consistent with the switch plus property structure elsewhere in the program. As you know, folks have asked “why programmers cannot simplify this system elsewhere,” but I’ve just decided to live with it.

I agree and, yes, I’ll live with it too.
