I’m transcribing a piece needing a huge percussion section. I’m not looking forward to dividing up the 12 or so instruments into the 4-5 players I’ll have available.
Wouldn’t it be neat if we could select from a list of instruments and have Dorico automatically allocate them to a specific group of players based on who should best play what?
Dorico might even be able to use this in conjunction with Proofreading e.g. “this instrument change is very quick, do you want to move the instrument to another player instead?”
