I’d like to request an option for repeatable-symbol line-bodies to support baseline alignment, instead of centering the glyphs vertically based on their extremes.
Here’s an example set as a playing technique, which uses baseline alignment. (Note that since this is not an extendable shape, it’s not a functional substitution for a line body.)
Here are the same glyphs set as a line body, using the vertical center alignment, and in this case, distorting the pattern.
