I occasionally need to use double sharp or double flat symbols and wonder if anyone else would find it useful if double-tapping the relevant shortcut keys triggered them. This approach would be consistent with the double-tap behaviour for dotted notes.

(In the meantime, you can assign your own key command to these.)

I had requested this in September last year. Since then, I have discovered that holding down the shift key when pressing the key for sharp or flat results in a double sharp or double flat.

Hmm, not for me. Edit: But I just added those as key commands, because it’s a good idea!

There’s always the possibility that I added those key commands myself, except that I cannot remember ever having done that. My recollection is that I discovered those keypresses by accident when I pressed the shift key by mistake instead of the alt/opt key (when applying an accidental to a note).
