I use GA a lot, and have multiple instances open and active in a project at any given time.
It doesn’t seem that I can drag one GA pad, into another separate instance of GA?
I would appreciate this workflow if possible.
I believe this depends on DAW support. This is possible in Cubase.
If you’re using the stock content or expansions, it’s recommended to use the Instruments tab for pad replacement, as this keeps the pad’s routing intact, preventing issues with Bus names. You can use Prelisten in Place to preview how the samples sound in the context of your song without committing to a permanent change.
