I would love to be able to copy a channel and decide if I want it to be part of the group/link that I have set up before.
Last night when I recorded drums and the director of the opera wanted me to do overdubs on the drum channels I had linked before I got in a mess because rec ready was linked to the old channels.
The entire group functionality still needs a major overhaul. Better than before but still grossly inadequate in my opinion. I don’t even use it. Once you’re used to PT grouping it’s just a nuisance (in my opinion).
I do have high hopes and expectations for vers 7 though.
Your optimism might lead to disappointment. But you are right, there is room for improvement.
