Maybe this is tricky to implement because of the drop-down, but when creating text in the Edit Chord Symbol Component window it seems very odd that the text should default to the font.barnumber style. That’s virtually never going to be what the user wants. It would be great if this could default to font.chordsymbols and then the user can modify further if needed via the drop-down list. Thanks for considering!
Dorico doesn’t “know” that you’re editing a chord symbol in the editor there, so there’s no particular reason for it to choose any other font style, but I agree that at the very least it should probably choose “Default Text Font” rather than the bar numbers font style (especially since the bar numbers font style is no longer actively used but only retained for backwards compatibility purposes).
