FR?: Extending Insert Mode scope like caret

Hey,

I can’t see a way to do this - it would be good if I could extend the scope of insert mode to affect a group of instruments. I can do that if I extend the caret, but then any notes I enter will be entered on the other staves too - what I want is for the notes I’m entering into the one stave to push the notes of the other staves along to accommodate the space but without pushing other players’ notes along.

Have you tried using the instrument filter in galley view and enter notes using the insert mode’s global scope?

I hadn’t, but as expected that pushes all of the notes globally. I’d be a bit scared to do that if it worked that way - I want to see my other notes staying where they are…
