+1000 !! … Just took the plunge from Cubase 6.5.5 to C8 8.5.1 - tons of annoying workflow changes - and this particular one makes absolutely no sense at all! Apparently it’s the same with Nuendo! Please - have a look at this (across both DAWs!)
I’m using your software 8 hours a day, 6 days a week - and all these little changes, innocent as they may seem, is a major flowstopper for someone with a fast and deep workflow! How i with i could have a one on one with the programmers (and QA department in particular 
) …
