FR: keep specific staff centered

This has been brought up before, but I thought it might be good to remind the dev team that it could be something very useful to many people.

It would be good if you could click a staff and when playback starts that staff is always vertically centered on the screen.
For example, right now I have a score for string orchestra, so not requiring a massive vertical space.

However, Dorico doesn’t respect what is actually at the top of the top staff… during playback it assumes the top staff line of the top instrument should also be stuck visually to the top of the screen.

At other times, one single staff of the subsequent system is showing, and Dorico doesn’t scroll down to show that whole system, but rather keeps playing with the playback scroll line simply following that one single staff (which is now near the bottom of the screen.)

It would really be nice if, for example in my case, I could select the violas and assign them to “always be vertically centered on the screen.” At least this way I’d be getting my entire string system every time it played back, without needing to constantly scroll the view down to get the whole next system.

With a larger orchestral or band score I might see how this could be a problem, but the user could simply select a staff the define as the “centered” one, and even if that staff is not showing because of condensing, then the next staff could automatically be used for the target centering.

Is this something that others would find in any way useful?
Writing chamber works and pieces for strings only, I often come across this issue.

Maybe switching to Galley View before hitting “Play” helps?

I don’t like how galley view looks.
maybe that’s just me, but I’d rather see my score as it will appear from the publisher’s.
