FR: modifier key to temporarily use eraser (or invert draw tool)

I really like the alt/opt modifier which allows you to tempoarily activate the draw tool, especially when adding automation points. I’ve noticed there does not appear to be the inverse of this: a modifier shortcut to temporarily access the eraser. Or, alternatively, the draw tool could have a “minus” function when holding down an additional modifier key.

If anyone has ever used Adobe Photoshop to draw shapes or masks you’ll recognize the convenience of what I’m referring to - with the pen tool active by default, you can hold down another modifier key which shows a little minus sign next to it, allowing you to remove points on a curve. So with the same tool you can quickly add or remove points without the need of switching tools entirely. Switching is minor but I would find it a lot faster and more intuitive to just use modifier keys. (P.S. I checked the settings under “tool modifiers”, there is nothing there for this.) Thank you!

Hi,

You can easily select the notes and Delete.

Or you can double-click individual notes to delete them.

I’m aware I can use the delete key. A modifier key would be speedier and more ergonomic, hence my request.

Good to know for notes! Although my primary use case for this would be automation points, which I draw all day long. It seems double-clicking an automation point does nothing.

What I’m picturing is with the normal selection tool turned on, just as you can temporarily access an additive tool (draw) to create points, so you could also hold down let’s say alt+shift or alt+ctrl or something to subtract points as you click them.
