FR: Played duration editing does not affect all selected staves

I was a little surprised this afternoon to find that, when notes are selected across several instruments, adjusting the played duration of a note in one instrument does not update the others.

In case it is relevant, I am selecting notes in a score with the following instruments (there are currently no notes in the Flugelhorn stave in the selected section):

  • Trumpet 1 (doubling Flugelhorn)

  • Flugelhorn

  • Trumpet 2

  • Trombone

It would be extremely helpful if, in such circumstances, all selected notes could be updated simultaneously, particularly as played duration does not have a precise numerical value attached to it. When adjusting durations across two or more instruments, this inevitably requires a degree of estimation, which makes consistent results harder to achieve.

You can show several instruments in the key editor, and adjust several notes together (in case it’s what you’re looking for, I’m not sure):

Many thanks @charles_piano for responding so quickly - thank you!

I know how to adjust played duration of a single instrument in the key editor, but not how to enable several simultaneously, as shown in your screenshot. With notes across several staves selected, I see only now instrument in the key editor in the score I’m working on. I must be missing a step…

Found it… just in case it’s helpful to others, click the down arrow above the piano roll keyboard and click the padlock and the option to slec multiple instruments becomes available…
