it would be useful to be able to create a cutaway by selecting 2 bar lines and cutting away the stave in between. This would be especially useful for TAB staves, when there is nothing to select, currently you need to select notes to invoke a manual cutaway.
Maybe you can use this workaround (if you haven’t found it already)
Show temporarily both notation and tablature in Layout Options-Fretted instrument, create the cutaway on a rest in the notation staff where the cutaway is created on both staves , hide notation again.
