I just had a devil of a time finding some local barlines and time signatures in a score (thanks @pianoleo!). They were incorrectly entered by the composer, granted, but it was an honest mistake, and they were pretty difficult to sleuth. One example was an independent double barline hiding behind a global double barline.
I wonder whether the team would consider an option for a signpost to show independent barlines and time signatures. Otherwise it can be quite the adventure finding them!
