Many apps support open-ended page range printing – for example, specifying 6- in the page range field will print from page 6 to the end of the document.
When I enter a range like this in Dorico, Dorico will print the entire document. It’s true that the print preview in the center of the screen shows the first page (and will scroll to show the whole document), but there is no other indication of what’s going on.
- It would be nice if Dorico supported open-ended ranges. Otherwise, in order to print a range at the end of the document, I need to first scroll to the end of the document to see how many pages there are.
- If Dorico is not going to support open-ended ranges, it would be nice if it displayed an error message and refused to print anything if the given range is not understood.
