I would like to request additional spacing options for single-value measures, based on the practices described by Helene Wanske in Musiknotation: Von der Syntax des Notenstichs zum EDV-gesteuerten Notensatz (Schott, 1988).
Wanske describes two approaches to spacing single-value measures:

The distance from the barline to the note is calculated according to the note’s rhythmic value. This corresponds to Dorico’s current implementation.

The note is positioned according to one of three alternatives:
- Option A: centered in the measure;
- Option B: placed after one third of the measure’s total length;
- Option C: placed after one quarter of the measure’s total length.
This feature has been requested before. Wanske, however, provides detailed rules governing these alternatives, including their application to the complementary measures associated with anacruses.
Notably, Wanske observes that the three alternatives under point 2 occur more frequently in engraving practice than the method under point 1.
