I use the mouse scroll wheel in the main project window, the key editor and the tempo editor *a lot*. In the main project window, I use it for lateral (as opposed to up/down) repositioning at least 95% of the time; in the key editor at least 99% of the time; in the tempo editor 100% of the time. So it would be a major improvement in workflow it I could do lateral scrolling without having to use the shift key, and make the shift key dictate up/down scrolling. Can we *please* make this a user-selectable option?
And while we’re at it, can we make the scroll direction user selectable as well? While I have spent hundreds of hours using the Cubase editors, I have tens of thousands of hours using other Windows software which uniformly uses the convention: scroll-wheel down: go forward in the file/document; scroll-wheel up: go backward. No matter how much time I spend in Cubase, I will always instinctively scroll down to move forward in the project. I cannot fathom why Cubase has implemented the opposite function – it makes no logical sense to me. Can we *please* also make this a user-selectable option?
