So, as a Cubase 15 Pro owner I have a few 60% off vouchers that I won’t use.
Is it allowed to give them away for free here? (apparently it is)
If it is allowed, I’d like to dedicate this topic to giving some of them away free of charge.
EDIT: I know it’s a Cubase forum, but since it’s the most popular Steinberg forum it made sense to make the topic here.
EDIT2: It’s apparently allowed and I have WL, Dorico and Absolute vouchers to give away for free.
(I’m still on the fence about the SpectraLayers, but there is a high chance that I will use it myself before the end of the month. If not, I’ll let you know here)

EDIT3: FYU, the vouchers only work on fresh purchases and not when updating or upgrading, as far as I know.

@MrSoundman True. However, wouldn’t it be weird to give C15 users a voucher for a product they already own…? Besides, all Cubase versions are 40% off right now.
Selling a voucher on ebay - I would never even consider that. No idea if that’s even legal.

That is outside of our control. That is why I want people to DM me to get the vouchers, so that at least they need to be a member of this forum. And if they still choose put it on Ebay, then at least Steinberg will get some money out of it, from the purchase.
I tried to do a test where I applied my WaveLab 13 Pro (new purchase) voucher on an update for my current WaveLab 12 Pro license. Weird thing is, it seems to have accepted and applied the voucher but the price remained unchanged.
Same thing happened when I tested if my current Absolute 6 could be updated to Absolute 7 using a voucher.
I am not sure if there is any logic there.
Not to pitpick, but I believe that they call a pro to pro (like pro 12 to pro 13) an “update” and a thing like elements to pro (like elements 13 to pro 13) an “upgrade”.
And the same goes here.

Right also another Absolute 6 customer here, it doesn’t look like these are helpful for us. Great punish those who already invested in your products. Winning idea Steinberg, way to make your pre existing customers feel extra special and loyal for nothing.
I know I already get a $99 voucher, thats not the point if this wasn’t obvious to you ! We are also CUBASE Users right ? So yes we should get an additional discount, I know that sounds so crazy huh ?
That’s a permanent selling policy you can avail yourself of at any point, and not a voucher. There are different sales throughout the year, so it’s not as if this is the be-all and end-all of Steinberg promotions.
To be clear, As an owner of Absolute 6 you can update to Absolute 7 and pay a price that is discounted compared to the price for someone who doesn’t already own it.
Wasn’t sure what you meant by “discount”, that’s why I asked.
Well, to be fair, someone who doesn’t already own Absolute 6 can’t really purchase an update for it. So maybe it’s just our subjective interpretations of the term, but I wouldn’t exactly call it a discount. In my opinion, a discount implies that there is an alternative price, which there isn’t in this situation but whatever.
